2010-2011 District Governor's Point Contest
Point Values

July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011

All district charities donations should be given before May 31, 2011.

All Clubs are automatically entered into the contest. Information will be used from attendance sheets and Activities Reports. Points are given for membership, participation and reporting. Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Lions Clubs in each of three classes, and to the 1st and 2nd place Lioness Clubs that attain the highest number of points.

Membership reported as of July 1 will determines which class each club will be included in:

LIONS CLUBS:
Class A - 30 members or more
Class B - 20 to 29 members
Class C - 19 members or less

LIONESS CLUBS:
Class A - All Clubs

CLUBS Sponsoring a new Lions Club 2,000 points
Sponsoring a new Lioness or Leo Club 1,500 points
Sponsoring a new Branch Club 1,000 points
MEMBERSHIP Each new member 500 points
Each Lion transferred from another club 300 points
Each reinstated member 200 points
Clubs with a "net gain" at year-end 500 points
ADMINISTRATION For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the 3rd day of the month due 200 points
For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the 5th day of the month due 100 points
For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the last day of the month due 100 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by April 15 300 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by May 1 200 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by May 31 100 points
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS International Dues - 1st half paid by September 1 200 points
International Dues - 2nd half paid by March 1 200 points
Lions International charges (thru March 31) - All paid by May 15 200 points
State (MD-14) Dues - 1st half paid by October 1 200 points
State (MD-14) Dues - 2nd half paid by April 1 200 points
District 14-R Per-Capita Assessment - Paid by November 1 200 points
COMMUNITY SERVICE New Project (reported on Activities Report) - Typical ('Adopt-a-Highway', eye screenings, etc.) up to twice per year per project 1000 points
New Project (reported on Activities Report) - Substantial (new vehicle, etc.) 2000 points
New Project (reported on Activities Report) - Major (new community center, etc.) 3000 points
Media coverage of project (must include copy with Activities Report) 250 points
On-going Community Service Project - for every $100.00 donated 25 points
WHITE CANE DAYS White Cane participation (man-hours plus dollars collected) - Reported on October Activites Report 500 points
JOURNEY FOR SIGHT Journey for Sight (number of participants plus dollars collected) - Reported on May Activites Report 500 points
DISTRICT / STATE / INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS Approved Lions Project (per $100 donated) 25 points
Lions Youth Exchange Program (hosting or sponsoring a youth-participant) 1000 points
Peace Poster Contest sponsored by Club 500 points
STATE & INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS Each club member attending 200 points
USA / CANADA FORUM Each club member attending 200 points
DISTRICT CONVENTION Each club member attending 100 points
Club with 50%(+) members attending 500 points
President-elect attends Officer's Seminar 200 points
Secretary-elect attends Secretary's Seminar 200 points

DISTRICT NEWSLETTER (14-R REPORTER) Each ad submitted promoting a club fundraising project or event 50 points
Each press release, artice and/or photo submitted and published about a club community service project 100 points
DISTRICT PROGRAM REQUEST Each meeting program by a Cabinet Committee or obtained through District 14-R's Speakers Bureau 100 points
PARADE PARTICIPATION For every member participating in an organized parade as a member of a Lions contingent 50 points
