2003-2004 District Governor's Point Contest
Point Values

July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2004

All Clubs are automatically entered into the contest. Information will be used from attendance sheets and the Activities Reports. Points are given for membership, participation and reporting.

Awards will be presented to the first, second and third place Lions Clubs in each of the three classes, and to the first and second place Lioness Clubs that attain the highest number of points.

Membership reported as of July 1 will determine which class each club will be included in:

LIONS CLUBS:
Class A - 30 members or more
Class B - 21 to 29 members
Class C - 20 members or less

LIONESS CLUBS:
Class A - All Clubs Included

CLUBS Sponsorship of a new Lions Club 2,500 points
Sponsorship of a new Lioness or Leo Club 1,500 points
Sponsorship of a Branch Club 1,000 points
Lioness Club converting to a Lions Club 2,500 points
MEMBERSHIP Each new member 500 points
Each Lion transferred from another District 500 points
Each Lion transferred from another 14-R Club 200 points
Each reinstated member 200 points
Clubs with year-end "net gain" of 1 member 200 points
Clubs with year-end "net gain" of 2 members 500 points
Clubs with year-end "net gain" of 3 or more members (for each additional member) 500 points
ADMINISTRATION For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the 3rd day of the month due 200 points
For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the 5th day of the month due 150 points
For each Activities Report received by District Governor and Lions International by the last day of the month due 100 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by April 15 300 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by May 1 200 points
For PU-101 Reports received by District Governor and Lions International by May 31 100 points
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS International Dues - 1st half paid by September 1 200 points
International Dues - 2nd half paid by March 1 200 points
Lions International charges (thru March 31) - All paid by May 15 500 points
State (MD-14) Dues - 1st half paid by October 1 200 points

COMMUNITY SERVICE New Project (reported on Activities Report) - Typical ('Adopt-a-Highway', eye screenings, etc.) up to twice per year per project 1000 points

New Project (reported on Activities Report) - Major (new community center, etc.) 5000 points
Media coverage of project (must include copy with Activities Report) 250 points
On-going Community Service Project (excluding fund raising for Lion/Lioness projects reported on monthly Activities Report) - for every $100.00 donated to Community Service Project 25 points
On-going Community Service Project (excluding fund raising for Lion/Lioness projects reported on monthly Activities Report) - for every Lion/Lioness hour expended on club-sponsored Community Service Project involving two or more members 5 points

DISTRICT PROGRAM REQUEST Each meeting program using a Cabinet Committee or obtained through District 14-R's Speakers Bureau 100 points
PARADE PARTICIPATION For every member participating in an organized parade as a member of a Lions contingent 50 points
